Technical Lead - Inbound Correspondence Automation Position Overview
 
Reason Group is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the design and implementation of the Inbound Correspondence Automation solution. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in Oracle Document Understanding, complex APEX UI development, OCI functions, object storage, and modern DevOps practices. The Technical Lead will guide a team of developers, resolve technical challenges, and ensure high-quality delivery through infrastructure-as-code (IaC)and CI/CD automation.
Key Responsibilities

• Solution Leadership: Lead the end-to-end technical design and implementation of inbound correspondence workflows using Oracle Document Understanding.
• Development Oversight: Support and mentor developers in building scalable and maintainable solutions, troubleshooting technical blockers, and enforcing best practices.
• Complex APEX UI: Architect and deliver advanced APEX user interfaces for document management and case-handling.
• OCI Services: Implement and optimise serverless functions, event-driven integrations, and OCI Object Storage solutions.
• DevOps & Automation: Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub Actions/Jenkins or equivalent), enabling automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and maintain Terraform scripts to provision, configure, and manage OCI resources consistently across environments.
• Quality & Assurance: Ensure the delivered solution adheres to security, compliance, and performance standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, business analysts, and product owners to align technical implementation with business goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance solution reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in Oracle Document Understanding implementation, including ingestion, classification, and metadata extraction.
• Strong experience in Oracle APEX with complex UI design and custom components.
• Proficiency with OCI Functions, Object Storage, and related OCI services.
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
• Advanced skills in Terraform scripting and infrastructure-as-code delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support developers with technical challenges.
• Experience in secure, enterprise-grade solution delivery within government or large-scale transformation programs.

Desirable

• Familiarity with other Oracle Cloud services (e.g., ORMB, CX, OIC).
• Knowledge of enterprise integration (REST, SOAP, event-driven patterns).
• Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Exposure to Australian Government ICT standards and security frameworks.
