Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to identify new business and project opportunities
Understand customer needs and enhance overall customer experience
Support tender submissions and RFQs with sales and business development teams
Identify required resources, form project teams, and lead them to successful completion
Track and manage project scope, cost, schedule, risks, and quality
Ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of all project deliverables
Estimate work breakdown structures (WBS) with relevant team leads
Plan resources effectively to ensure balanced workload and consistent utilisation
Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress proactively
Escalate risks and issues promptly to Management, proposing mitigation strategies
Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers
Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date
Conduct steering committee meetings and provide timely updates to sponsors
Provide mentorship to team members and support their development
Negotiate with senior stakeholders and mediate conflicts when required
Requirements:
Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
Proven experience in project management with understanding of full product development life cycle
Experience in payment or electronics‑related industries is an added advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Strong project management capabilities, including estimating, planning, risk management, budgeting, stakeholder management, and reporting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues clearly
Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative working relationships
Demonstrated leadership with ability to develop and manage high‑performing teams
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Confidence in engaging senior management and presenting well‑reasoned analysis
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams
Proactive attitude with willingness to learn
Ability to multi‑task and work efficiently in a fast‑paced and competitive environment
PMP certification is an added advantage
