(Japanese Speaking) Consulting Manager - Strategy, Research & Client Engagement

Responsibilities:
Drive sustainable growth of the consulting business and oversee key client relationships
Lead and develop junior consultants to meet business objectives and support their professional growth
Ensure daily operations are conducted in full compliance with internal policies
Identify new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
Analyse client challenges and propose suitable research or consulting solutions
Prepare project proposals and collaborate with management for approval
Present proposals to clients and secure new project engagements
Work with management to determine project team composition
Serve as main client contact for project matters
Coordinate with internal teams and external parties, including subcontractors and partner companies
Manage project budgets for small to large‑scale engagements
Oversee project execution, support Project Leaders, and provide guidance to ensure quality delivery
Perform project leadership tasks and contribute to research/consultation activities where necessary
Conduct on‑the‑job training for Consultants and Analysts
Review project outcomes upon completion and provide feedback to teams
Lead substantial‑scale projects when required
Publish articles to enhance brand visibility and knowledge sharing
Develop knowledge content and share insights across group companies
Prepare sales‑related materials to support business development
Conduct internal training sessions to strengthen team capabilities
Identify and propose new systems, outsourced resources, or support mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency
Support cross‑office projects and pipeline initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of senior‑level research analysis and/or consulting experience
At least 2 years of experience managing a small team
Proven track record in building long‑term client relationships and securing multiple projects from the same client
Strong financial analysis and business planning experience
In‑depth knowledge and hands‑on experience in specific business processes
Deep industry expertise across several sectors based on education and experience
Proficiency in English and Japanese for liaising with Japanese‑speaking clients and stakeholders
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50%
