Key Responsibility: 
1. Leadership & Team management 

• Lead and manage the engineering department
• Set clear goals, mentor team members and conducts performance evaluations.
• Build a high performance engineering team to support business growth and technological advancement.

2. Strategic Planning & Project Management

• Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with company objectives
• Oversee and manage engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring timeline, cost and quality target are met
• Plan and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, yield rate and quality

3. Process Innovation

• Drive innovation in quartz resonator manufacturing processes
• Evaluate and approve the change of process method, material, machine and man.

4. Technical Operations & Problem Solving

• Provide technical direction for complex problem-solving in production, quality and issues related to customer.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement long term corrective actions across engineering functions.
• Approve engineering documentations, change notice and technical reports.

5. Quality, Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure engineering practice comply with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems.
• Support internal and external audits
• Identify technical risks and implement strategies to minimize operational disruptions.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with production, quality and factory support to align technical goals with business needs
• Act as the main engineering contact for customers and key stakeholders
• Present engineering updates and performance metrics to senior management

 
Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field such as Electronic components and in a managerial position
• Technical skills in Quality and Engineering tools
• Proficiency in English and Japanese language to liaise with internal and external Japanese speaking stakeholders and client
• Familiarity with ISO standards & certifications
