Responsibilities:
Assist with translation and interpretation tasks within the clinic.
Provide interpretation services for all Japanese patients and other individuals during their visits to the clinic.
Support Japanese patients in effectively communicating with clinic staff regarding general matters.
Translate clinic materials, correspondence, and forms between Japanese and English for use by the management team and staff.
Translate manuals, publications, patient documents, brochures, and other materials issued by hospitals or medical institutions from Japanese to English or vice versa.
Coordinate and manage communication between patients and staff/doctors, ensuring thorough follow-up for complete service satisfaction.
Support staff in understanding Japanese language and culture.
Provide translation and interpretation support as required for the Japanese Coordinator.
Coordinate all aspects of service for Japanese patients, including inquiries and visit arrangements.
Organize interpretation services for all Japanese patients and other individuals during clinic visits.
Assist Japanese patients in effectively communicating with clinic staff regarding general affairs.
Participate in executive meetings, workshops, and program activities as requested by the Management Team.
Deliver a flawless, professional, and culturally attuned Japanese service experience to all Japanese patients.
Analyze patient feedback and offer strategic insights to enhance overall service quality.
Respond promptly and professionally to patients’ needs, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Communicate Japanese cultural aspects to staff and patients to support mutual understanding.
Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the company.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a Japanese-English translator or interpreter.
Proficient in Japanese (JLPT N3 and above) to effectively liaise with Japanese speaking patients
Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written.
Proven capability to translate complex topics while preserving accuracy, tone, and intent.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication across languages and cultures.
Solid understanding of Japanese culture, customs, and professional etiquette.
