Job Description
Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee and execute the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of accounting entries, adjusting entries, and account reconciliations.
Account Analysis and Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile complex accounts such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, management reports, costing reports, and group consolidations.
Variance Analysis: Analyze financial, accounting, and costing data to identify expense trends, assess financial performance, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders, including non-finance departments and cost owners, to address financial, accounting, and costing issues, delivering clear and constructive recommendations in a timely manner.
Cost Accounting and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate cost accounting records, monitor cost variances, and conduct inventory valuations, ensuring proper reporting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budget templates, compile departmental budget submissions, and forecast costs for fixed assets, leased assets, and materials based on sales and production plans.
Taxation: Prepare quarterly GST returns, create tax schedules for corporate tax computations, and liaise with tax agents to address any queries.
Audit Support: Provide support for statutory audits, internal surveys, and other audit requirements by preparing audit schedules, deferred tax schedules, and responding to audit queries.
Digitalization and Ad-Hoc Tasks: Assist in digitalization projects, collaborate with IT and external vendors to integrate digital tools into accounting processes, and handle additional tasks as assigned, including responding to urgent requests and supporting cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant experience, with knowledge of accounting principles, GST, company tax, and SAP (a plus).
Proficient in MS Excel, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrates leadership, integrity, empathy, and the ability to perform under pressure while prioritizing team well-being.
