Job Responsibilities
Independently assesses, manages, and treats patients referred for podiatry care, applying advanced clinical knowledge and skills; communicates findings and treatment plans to referring physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient records, ensures correct billing, and regularly updates individual performance statistics in accordance with clinical and service standards.
Supervises and supports podiatrists within the workgroup, practicing within professional competencies and seeking guidance from supervisors or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams through active participation in case conferences and contributes to coordinated patient care planning.
Supports the preparation and submission of monthly performance reports and contributes to the monitoring of key clinical, service quality, productivity, and revenue indicators.
Co-leads clinical research initiatives related to podiatry, fostering evidence-based practice within the workgroup.
Manages and updates the inventory of therapeutic equipment, and participates in reviewing and revising clinical protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Contributes to the planning and implementation of departmental projects, quality control activities, and the development, promotion, and marketing of new clinical services.
Assists with budgeting processes and supports the coordination and delivery of clinical education programmes for podiatry students and the onboarding of new podiatrists.
Delivers in-service training, represents the department in hospital and external educational events, identifies training needs within the team, and builds strategic professional networks within the healthcare sector.
Requirements
Recognized Degree in Podiatry.
Postgraduate qualifications in relevant clinical specialty preferred.
4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
