Thriving restaurant group is looking to hire a Sushi Chef.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of relevant work experience
Must have prior experience working an omakase bar, or applicable guest interaction experience
Responsibilities:
Support the Executive Sushi Chef in maintaining excellence, hospitality, and teamwork; lead daily lineups, oversee prep standards, and ensure proper cooking techniques, recipe adherence, and fish preparation.
Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including vendor relations (when needed), station setup (timely, accurate, and ergonomic), and maintaining cleanliness and organization during mise en place.
Work the sushi counter, delivering high-quality, timely service while engaging guests and keeping a clean, professional station; ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Oversee closing procedures, including cleaning and organizing the kitchen, completing prep and inventory lists, ensuring product readiness, and confirming all staff duties are completed before clock-out.
