Location: Orange County, CA (Location/region TBD) Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 base Benefits: Bonus potential, M/D/V, PTO Growing bakery-cafe group seeks a District Culinary Manager to elevate BOH, pastry, and production excellence; local candidates only. Responsibilities:
Lead field visits across multiple bakery-cafes to coach BOH and pastry teams, audit execution, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Standardize baking, finishing, labeling, rotation, packaging, holding, and display practices to improve quality and consistency.
Drive sanitation, food safety, and inspection readiness by turning regulations into practical kitchen and production SOPs.
Report on compliance, product defects, staffing, training progress, and basic food and labor cost trends.
Qualifications:
5+ years of multi-unit culinary, pastry, or BOH leadership in bakery-cafe, dessert, or retail bakery environments.
Strong food safety and sanitation expertise, including audits, corrective action, and health inspection readiness.
Hands-on trainer and coach with a track record of improving product quality, consistency, and team execution.
Based in Southern California with daily travel flexibility throughout Orange County and regular commuting to Costa Mesa.
