Stratford Pharmacy is a community pharmacy, offering a qualified pharmacy technician permanent position. This is a 40-hour-per-week contract Monday to Saturday by roster.

You must be able to communicate well, be able to take instruction, be punctual, and have a love for pharmacy and the community you serve.
Toniq experience is preferred as is NZ community pharmacy experience.
You will need a NZ work visa, permanent residency or citizenship to apply.

The role will primarily be filling and labeling patients' prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist and to advise customers about health and medicines.

The tasks include:

• Receiving the prescription from the patient or representative.
• Checking with the pharmacist to ensure the prescription is accurate and complete.
• Performing the necessary calculations for checking by the pharmacist.
• Generating prescription labels.
• Counting or pouring medicines under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Pricing prescriptions. 100% compliance with legislation, contracts, professional obligations, and pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures.
• Filing prescriptions.
• Maintaining prescription records.
• Repackaging and labelling medicines for over-the-counter (OTC) sale or dispensing. To manage dispensary housekeeping duties. This includes:
• Maintaining the dispensary in a clean and tidy state, according to protocols.
• Maintaining packaging and dispensing equipment, according to protocols.

The hourly rate for this position will be $28.50 with a minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
