Position:  PROJECT MECHANICAL / PIPING / WELDING INSPECTOR

Key Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience for Degree holders or 12 years for Diploma holders.
• Valid CSWIP 3.2.2 Senior Welding Inspector or AWS-SCWI certification.
• NDT Level II certifications in PT, MT, UT and RT Interpretation in accordance with SNT-TC-1A / CP-189, or equivalent PCN / ISNT qualifications.
• BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1/2 or NACE Level 1/2 certification is preferred.
• Relevant inspection experience in Oil & Gas projects, preferably LNG, covering greenfield, brownfield and shutdown activities.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Competencies:

• Conduct inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning.
• Inspect piping, valves, static and rotating equipment for onshore and offshore installations.
• Support shutdown planning, work-pack reviews, repair and modification activities, including hot-tap inspections.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cryogenic service requirements and ISO 9001 quality assurance principles.
• Interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, material specifications, data sheets and applicable international codes and standards.
• Review quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), QA/QC procedures, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), welder qualifications and method statements.
• Perform or support stage-wise inspections, PMI, pressure testing, valve testing, NDT review and radiograph interpretation.
• Review Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) charts and records.
• Inspect piping components, fittings, gaskets, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, lifting equipment and gas cylinders.
• Prepare inspection reports, maintain quality records and support supplier/contractor QA/QC audits.
