Position: PROJECT ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION (E/I) INSPECTOR

Key Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a suitable equivalent qualification, with trade certificates in Electrical and/or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 8 years of experience for Degree holders or 12 years for Diploma holders in inspection roles on Oil & Gas projects.
• Relevant LNG project experience, including greenfield, brownfield and shutdown activities.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA and ATEX / IECEx 60079.
• Experience in procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up, testing and commissioning inspections.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Competencies:

• Review contractor quality documents, inspection procedures and quality deliverables.
• Inspect LV and MV electrical equipment, motors, transformers, switchgear, power distribution boards, current transformers, relays, UPS systems, battery banks, lighting and small-power installations.
• Inspect instrumentation and control systems, including DCS, ESD, pressure, differential pressure, level and flow transmitters, RTDs, thermocouples, thermowells, gauges, analyzers and instrument tubing.
• Demonstrate familiarity with Fire & Gas, PAGA and telecommunications systems, devices and equipment.
• Conduct material and equipment receipt inspections, including visual and dimensional checks.
• Perform installation, testing and calibration inspections.
• Monitor site activities and verify compliance with approved contractor procedures and project specifications.
• Identify, document and follow up on product and process non-conformances.
• Ensure inspection activities comply with applicable project requirements, quality procedures and international standards.
