Position: Corrosion Engineer
 
Location: Qatar
 
TÜV Rheinland Gulf is looking for an experienced Corrosion Engineer for a minimum 1-year assignment, extendable.
 
Key Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in oil and gas or a similar process industry.
• Strong knowledge of material selection, corrosion mechanisms, metallurgy, welding, corrosion protection, pipeline inspection and maintenance, and static equipment integrity.
• Experience with cathodic protection, coating systems, material selection diagrams, in-service equipment integrity, chemical injection and corrosion inhibition.
• Experience in boiler and cooling water treatment and corrosion monitoring.
• Familiarity with relevant NACE, ASTM, ISO and API standards, including API 571 and API 580. NACE Specialist certification is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required; Access, Meridium and SAP experience is preferred.
