Position: Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager - Opex
 
Location: Khobar, Saudi Arabia
 
Sector Focus: Oil, Gas & Chemicals (OGC)
 
Reporting Line: Area Sales Manager
 
 
 
Role Purpose Develop and grow Opex business within the Oil, Gas & Chemicals sector, with particular focus on Asset Integrity Management (AIM), inspection, process safety, and related technical services. The role will combine technical understanding with strong sales and business development capability.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Develop new Opex business opportunities across Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refining, and process industries.
• Manage and expand relationships with existing and target clients.
• Promote Asset Integrity Management, RBI, inspection, NDT, process safety, and related industrial services.
• Identify client needs and coordinate with technical and operations teams to develop suitable technical-commercial solutions.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and actively manage opportunities through Salesforce.
• Conduct regular client visits, technical discussions, and follow-up activities.
• Support strategic tenders, long-term agreements, and framework opportunities.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activities, shutdowns, maintenance programs, and upcoming Opex opportunities.
• Coordinate internally with proposal, technical, and operations teams to improve conversion and client responsiveness.

 
Candidate Profile

• Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related discipline.
• Strong technical understanding of Asset Integrity Management and/or Process Safety.
• Knowledge of RBI, inspection, NDT, corrosion, mechanical integrity, HAZOP, SIL, or related services is highly preferred.
• Proven sales, business development, or key account management experience within the OGC / industrial services market.
• Existing network with major Oil & Gas / petrochemical clients in the Eastern Region is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
• Good understanding of CRM / Salesforce and disciplined pipeline management.
• Arabic language is an advantage; strong English communication is required.

 
Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial services, TIC, engineering consultancy, asset integrity, process safety, inspection, or related fields.
• Previous experience with major clients such as Aramco, Aramco JVs, SABIC affiliates or similar industrial organizations would be an advantage.
