Position: NDT / AUT Inspector - Pipeline
Specialization: AUT Inspection & Interpretation
We are looking for experienced NDT / AUT Inspectors & AUT Interpreters with strong hands-on experience in pipeline welding inspection and AUT data interpretation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and monitor AUT (Automated Ultrasonic Testing) activities on pipeline girth welds
- Interpret and evaluate AUT scan data in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes
- Review AUT results and identify, characterize and evaluate weld indications/defects
- Verify AUT scans before weld acceptance and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Coordinate daily NDT activities with AUT technicians, welding teams and QA/QC
- Review NDT procedures, reports, calibration records and inspection documentation
- Ensure traceability and proper documentation of all inspection activities
- Support NDT Level III with technical reviews, procedures and reports
- Raise and follow up NCRs/non-conformances where required
- Liaise with Client, TPI, QA/QC and Construction teams
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and approved project procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
AUT Level II - Mandatory
PCN / CSWIP / ISO 9712 or equivalent certification
4-8+ years of relevant AUT/NDT experience
Strong experience in pipeline construction / pipeline welding inspection
Proven experience in AUT data interpretation
Knowledge of API 1104, ASME, ISO and DNV standards
Experience with AUT systems and data-analysis software
Knowledge of UT / PAUT / TOFD / RT / MT / PT will be an advantage
Experience with cross-country pipelines, transmission pipelines, flowlines or offshore pipelines preferred
ADNOC / Aramco / Qatar Energy / major EPC project experience is an advantage
Good communication, reporting and coordination skills
Ability to work effectively with Client, Contractor and Third-Party Inspection teams
