We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer - Civil for a pipeline project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipeline projects, including trenching, excavation, grading, pipeline lowering and laying, backfilling, compaction, road/utility crossings, and reinstatement works within the Oil & Gas industry.
 
Position Details:

• Position: QC Engineer - Civil 
• Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE 
• Duration: 1 Year (extendable)
• Joining: Immediate
• Work Schedule: 10 hours per day / 6 days a week

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering 
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor - QMS
• Having a total experience of minimum 8 years as QC Engineer in Oil & Gas projects.
• Hands-on experience in civil activities within pipeline projects
• Good command in Project Quality auditing.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.
• Fluent English language skills.

Job Responsibilities:
 

• Review project specifications, drawings, method statements, ITPs, procedures, and applicable codes and standards related to civil and cross-country pipeline activities.
• Perform quality inspections of trenching and excavation works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, required depth, width, slope, and alignment.
• Inspect and verify surveying, route alignment, right-of-way (ROW) preparation, grading, and clearing activities.
• Inspect trench bottom preparation, bedding, padding, and suitability of excavated materials prior to pipeline lowering.
• Monitor and inspect pipeline lowering and laying activities to ensure proper trench condition, alignment, depth of cover, and protection of the pipeline.
• Inspect padding, selected backfilling, and general backfilling activities, including material suitability, layer thickness, and compaction requirements.
• Witness and verify field density/compaction tests and review test results for compliance with project specifications.
• Inspect road crossings, access roads, drainage works, utility crossings, and other pipeline corridor civil works.
• Inspect and monitor watercourse, culvert, HDD/boring, and other special crossings, where applicable to the project scope.
