Role: Independent Engineer (A Multidisciplinary Industrial Plant / Equipment Inspection & Condition Assessment Engineer)

Location: Saudi Arabia 


Key Requirements for the 

• Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial facilities and plant inspections.
• Proven experience in Design-Build-Operate (DBO) projects, precast facilities, ready-mix plants, or large EPC/O&M industrial projects.
• Experience in plant commissioning, condition assessment, handover inspections, and certification.
• Ability to perform remaining life assessments and issue technical condition reports.
• Familiarity with NEOM projects is preferred; NEOM-approved consultants would be highly advantageous.
• No conflict of interest with the contractor or equipment suppliers.

The proposed Independent Engineer should have multidisciplinary capability covering:

• Civil and Structural Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical and Controls Engineering
• Plumbing and Utility Systems
• Industrial Plant Inspection and Assessment
• Equipment/Systems to be Assessed

  
The Independent Engineer carry out inspection of the major equipment including:

• Batching Plants
• Weigh Bridges
• Ice Plants
• Chillers
• Gantry Cranes
• Overhead Cranes
• Jib Cranes
• Automated Production Lines
• Steel Cut & Bend Machines
• Stirrup Binding Machines
• Placing Booms and Concrete Pumps
• Steam Curing Systems
• Air Compressors and Receivers
• Diesel Generators

  
The selected candidate should be capable of preparing:

• Inspection Methodology
• Inspection Schedule
• Daily Site Reports
• Punch List
• Equipment Condition Assessment Report
• Five-Year Remaining Life Assessment
• Handover Readiness Report.
