Position: Senior QA QC Mechanical Engineer
Location: Oman, Muscat
Duration: 6 Months
Working hours: 10 hours (including 1 hour lunch), 6 days a week
Food, Accommodation and Transportation will be under candidate's scope
 
Principal Accountabilities

• Provide QA/QC expertise and technical support to the Company Projects Department.
• Develop, implement, and manage QMS tools as per the Company Engineering Code of Practice.
• Review EPC engineering deliverables.
• Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the QMS within Company projects and coordinate with the Company Quality Department on all quality-related issues.
• Liaise with contractors and fabricators on QA/QC documents such as GOP, GQP, ITP, Material Requisitions, Material Specifications, etc.
• Review and approve documents related to welding, including PWPS, PQR, WPS, and NDT procedures.
• Be responsible for advising, guiding, and motivating site line management on all QA/QC-related technical matters.
• Be responsible for providing relevant QA/QC training to all site personnel and ensuring that all personnel understand and effectively fulfill their QA/QC responsibilities as per the Quality Plan requirements.
• Conduct technical internal and external quality audits for various Company projects.
• Review root cause analyses, corrective actions, and the close-out of NCRs.
• Support Company project site teams in resolving quality-related issues and provide technical solutions.
• Maintain project NCR and deviation control registers and ensure the proper close-out of all deviations and NCRs.
• Review ITP (Third-Party Inspection) reports and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree holder: Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. Eng./B.E./B.Tech.) in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering.
• Shall hold ISO 9001:2015 and/or ISO 55001:2014 Lead Auditor certification. IRCA-registered Lead Auditor certification will be an added advantage.
• Shall possess a minimum of AMC/CWI or CWI certification in Welding Inspection and BGAS/NACE Level 2 qualification in Painting Inspection.
• Shall possess ASNT Level II or PCN Level II certification in UT, MT, and PT.
• Shall have a minimum of 7 years of EPC experience in mechanical pipeline/piping projects and be fully conversant with international codes (API, ASME, ASTM, BS, DIN, ISO, etc.) used in the oil and gas industry, preferably including Oil Technical Standards.
• Shall have a minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering for offshore oil and gas facility construction, including live installations. Out of these 7 years, at least 5 years shall have been gained in the Middle East.
• Shall have auditing experience in the oil and gas industry in accordance with ISO 19011 requirements.
