QA/QC Manager- (Infrastructure Projects)

Role Summary The QA/QC Manager will establish, implement, and monitor quality assurance and quality control systems for infrastructure projects, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The role is responsible for leading all quality-related activities across site and project functions, ensuring that construction works, materials, and processes consistently meet defined quality benchmarks. The QA/QC Manager will coordinate closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to drive a strong quality culture and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), QA/QC procedures, and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
Lead quality assurance processes across all project phases including procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and surveillance to verify compliance with quality requirements.
Review and approve material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor quality performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality deviations.
Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, and project teams for quality inspections and approvals.
Ensure all testing activities (material, laboratory, site tests) are conducted as per project requirements and standards.
Maintain and control quality records, inspection reports, and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Ensure proper implementation of HSE-integrated quality practices on site.
Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and quality coordination meetings.
Provide leadership and guidance to QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and site quality teams.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management systems.
Identify quality risks and implement preventive strategies to avoid defects and rework.
Support final handover documentation, punch list closure, and project close-out activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
10-15 years of experience in QA/QC roles within infrastructure, water, utilities, or EPC projects.
Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and specifications.
Experience in large-scale infrastructure or mega projects is highly preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and audit processes.
Proven experience in managing quality teams and contractor quality performance.
Strong understanding of testing and commissioning procedures in infrastructure projects.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
