Job Title: Welding Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to support fabrication and construction activities within the Oil & Gas sector. The role requires strong technical expertise in welding processes, materials, and international standards, along with hands-on experience in project execution and quality assurance.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
• Select appropriate welding consumables based on material specifications and service conditions
• Provide technical support on welding processes, fabrication methods, and material selection, including Corrosion Resistant Alloys (CRA)
• Conduct weld-related failure analysis and recommend corrective/preventive actions
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, and BS/EN/ISO
• Monitor and support fabrication and construction activities for:
  • Pressure vessels
  • Piping and pipelines
  • Storage tanks
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and testing activities
• Review contractor documents, welding procedures, and inspection reports
• Support site activities and resolve welding-related technical issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with:
  • Master's Degree in Welding Engineering OR
  • Professional certification such as IWE, CWE, or equivalent (approved by the Company)
• Alternatively, Postgraduate qualification in Welding Engineering or certification as European Welding Engineer (EWE)

Certifications:

• ASNT Level II in:
  • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
  • Penetrant Testing (PT)

Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in welding-related activities within Oil & Gas project environments
• Proven experience in fabrication and construction of industrial facilities
