Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or NEBOSH Diploma (preferred)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Risk & Incident Management Specialist to strengthen organizational safety performance through robust risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident management practices. The role focuses on evaluating existing systems, improving controls, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and enhance hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) processes across operations
• Review the effectiveness of incident management programs, including reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
• Ensure proper application of the Hierarchy of Controls in mitigating workplace risks
• Analyze safety performance data, trends, and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
• Maintain and review risk registers, ensuring risks are accurately captured, assessed, and mitigated
• Conduct incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Drive implementation of risk mitigation strategies and monitor effectiveness
• Support development and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks and procedures
• Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and international safety standards
• Facilitate risk assessments, workshops, and safety reviews with cross-functional teams
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for management on risk and incident trends
• Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness and engagement initiatives

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in risk assessment methodologies (HIRA, JSA, HAZOP, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of incident investigation techniques (e.g., RCA, TapRooT, 5 Whys)
• Knowledge of Hierarchy of Controls and safety management systems
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
• Strong reporting and documentation abilities
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and problem-solving capability

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction, or Manufacturing sectors
• Familiarity with GCC regulatory frameworks and major project environments
• Experience working on large-scale or high-risk operations
