Job Description - Senior Project Engineer (Workshop Based)
Position: Senior Project Engineer - Workshop
Reporting To: Fabrication Manager
Location: Oman 
Duration: 12 Months

Role Objective
To support the Fabrication Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring all fabrication and skid assembly activities within the workshop, ensuring timely and efficient completion of assigned packages.
Key Responsibilities

• Support workshop planning activities by assisting in the preparation of schedules and resource plans in coordination with the company planner.
• Identify and assist in resolving schedule bottlenecks to maintain project timelines.
• Support the preparation of weekly workshop progress reports covering fabrication and assembly activities.
• Prepare internal progress reports on a fortnightly basis.
• Liaise with clients during workshop visits and attend progress meetings as required.
• Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure fabrication and assembly requirements are clearly communicated to the workshop.
• Work closely with workshop production teams to resolve technical queries and close clarifications in a timely manner.
• Review structural fabrication drawings and piping isometrics.
• Review and provide input on workshop fabrication procedures.
• Monitor Free Issue Material (FIM) trackers and implement mitigation plans for delayed materials.
• Participate in internal weekly procurement status meetings.
• Raise material requisitions to the REI procurement team based on workshop requirements.
• Monitor fabrication, assembly, and testing activities against the approved schedule.
• Assist the workshop team in coordinating and expediting subcontractors.
• Coordinate closely with the REI Lead QC Inspector to plan and expedite inspection activities.
