Metallurgy Engineer / Welding Inspector
Job Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Management
* Coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure smooth workflow between engineering, production, and quality departments.
* Support project planning, scheduling, and execution according to client requirements and deadlines.
* Coordinate project and activity scheduling, and control resources effectively.
* Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
* Conduct regular analysis based on project status and lead times within the system.
* Handle work shadowing with technical experts managing inspection services.
* Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Client & Vendor Communication
* Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
* Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical and coordination issues.
* Coordinate between clients, field inspectors, and the sales team to ensure project efficiency.
Inspection & Quality Assurance
* Conduct technical review of inspection reports, ensuring compliance with ITP/PO/QCP requirements.
* Analyze inspection data and interpret results accurately.
* Ensure that inspection results meet the specified requirements.
* Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports.
* Participate in inspection and NDT-related activities as required.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, inspection reports, and progress updates.
Health, Safety, and Quality Compliance
* Ensure all project operations comply with safety and quality standards.
* Comply with and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) process requirements.
Qualifications
* B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering.
* 2 years of experience in project coordination or a related engineering field.
* Must be ASNT Level II certified.
* CSWIP / CWI certification is a strong plus.
* Knowledge of fabrication, welding, or inspection processes is an advantage.
* Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and meet tight deadlines;
