�� We're Hiring - Corrosion Engineer (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Corrosion Engineer to lead corrosion management and control programs across our process facilities. The role focuses on formulating strategies, implementing effective corrosion prevention systems, and ensuring all plant equipment, machinery, and structures are proactively protected from internal and external corrosion.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corrosion control and monitoring strategies for the entire plant complex.
• Identify corrosion mechanisms and provide technical recommendations for materials selection and protective systems.
• Supervise corrosion monitoring, inspection, and mitigation programs (CP, coating, chemical treatment, etc.).
• Conduct root cause analysis of corrosion-related failures and develop corrective/preventive action plans.
• Review inspection data and prepare integrity assessment reports for critical assets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, NACE/AMPP, ASTM, ISO) and company policies.
• Support turnaround and maintenance teams in corrosion-related activities and asset life extension studies.

Qualifications
Education

• �� Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials & Corrosion Engineering.
• �� Preferred: Master's degree in Corrosion Technology.

Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred)

• ✅ NACE / AMPP Corrosion Certification - Level 2 or 3 (mandatory)
• ✅ NACE / AMPP Cathodic Protection Technologist or Coating Inspector Level 2/3 (preferred)
• ✅ API 571 - Corrosion and Materials Professional Certification (preferred / advantage)
• ✅ Valid H2S & Safety Training certifications (as per site requirement)

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of corrosion management experience in Oil Refineries or Petrochemical Plants.
• Minimum 6-8 years in a lead or senior corrosion engineering role after obtaining relevant certifications.
• Proven experience with corrosion control programs, chemical inhibition, coating systems, and cathodic protection systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of materials degradation mechanisms in process plants.
• Familiar with inspection techniques, RBI programs, and integrity management systems.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and interface with operations and maintenance departments.
