Position - Scaffolding Inspector - Level 3
 
Location - Oman 

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect all scaffolding (erected, modified, or dismantled) and issue inspection tags/certifications in line with statutory and company requirements.
• Verify compliance with international standards (OSHA, BS EN 12811, TG20) and client/project specifications.
• Supervise and guide scaffolders and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient erection of scaffolds.
• Identify hazards and unsafe practices; take immediate corrective action.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and checklists for auditing and compliance.
• Provide technical input on complex scaffolding designs, load calculations, and unusual configurations.
• Coordinate with Safety, Engineering, and Construction teams on scaffolding requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for scaffold teams.
• Assist in investigations of scaffolding-related incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure proper scaffolding tagging systems (Green, Yellow, Red) are implemented and updated.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certified Scaffolding Inspector Level 3 (CITB, CISRS, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in scaffolding operations in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding materials, design principles, and international safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret scaffolding drawings and load calculations.
• Competent in preparing inspection reports and maintaining documentation.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.

• Deep understanding of scaffolding safety standards and practices.
• Strong hazard-identification and risk-assessment skills.
• Leadership and coaching ability for scaffolding teams.
• Good written and spoken English (other languages advantageous).
• Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and HSE regulations.
