Project: SHUTDOWN - FLANGE INTEGRITY/ QUALITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES- TURNAROUND 2025

Duration: 50 Days 

About: an Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Company that produces refining commercial products, petrochemical commercial products, and By-products as Pet Coke and Sulphur to the local and international market. 

Operational areas:
Crude & Vacuum Distillation (CDU & VDU) and Hydro-treating.
Sulphur, Amine and Sour Water Units.
Diesel Hydrocracker (DHCU) and Hydrogen Production (HPU)
Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCCU), Alkylation and other units
Delayed Coker and LPG Merox
Utilities (partially)


Roles open:
1) Joint- Integrity Engineer
2) Joint- Integrity lead supervisor
3) Joint- Integrity Inspector


Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in flange joint integrity management, preferably in the oil & gas, petrochemical, sector.

Certification: Possession of a recognized industry certification in bolted flange joint assembly

Skills:

• Proficient in the use of hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME B16.5, B16.47, PCC-1, API 6A).
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and leadership skills.

The role responsibility shall include, but not be limited to your discipline, the following:

Planning & Preparation

• Review and approve Flange Joint Management documents
• Verify the suitability of all required materials, including flanges, gaskets, bolts, nuts, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• approve detailed torque and tensioning calculations for standard and nonstandard flanges
• Assist in the review and approval of flange integrity procedures submitted by mechanical execution contractors

Tool & Equipment Verification

• Verify the calibration and suitability of all tooling (e.g., hydraulic tensioners, torque wrenches,) used by Execution contractors

Supervision

• Provide direct, on-site supervision of all flange joint assembly and disassembly activities.
• Monitor bolting crews to ensure strict adherence to approved procedures (e.g., sequence, torque/tension values, lubrication application, condition of flange faces and flange alignment, gasket verification).
• Witness and sign off on critical flange joint activities, as defined by the Company.

Quality Control & Assurance

• Conduct visual inspections of flange faces, gaskets, and bolts for defects or damage.
• Verify correct gasket installation and seating.
• Complete and maintain accurate flange joint assembly records and checklists
