Positions: Inspectors - Welding, Painting and E & I
 
Location: Oman
 
Duration: 3 months
 
We have outlined the positions, along with the roles and responsibilities and the educational qualifications required for each role
 
1) Welding Inspector
 
Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
• Verify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and qualifications of welders.
• Conduct visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• Identify and resolve welding defects and non-conformities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of welding inspection experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
•  Diploma or Engineering Degree in a relevant field.
• Certifications:
  • CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent.
  • NDT Level 2 certification in RT, UT, MT, or PT.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASME, API, and AWS.

2) Coating Inspector
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect coating applications for compliance with standards.
• Review drawings and specifications.
• Ensure QA/QC of coating materials and processes.
• Prepare inspection reports.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Address quality issues with teams.
• Verify material quality and workmanship.
• Conduct pre-inspection meetings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of welding inspection experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Diploma or Engineering Degree in a relevant field.
• Certification in relevant coating inspection disciplines (NACE / B GAS Level 2)

2) E & I Inspector
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Perform quality control checks and document results
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues and ensure safety.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of welding inspection experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Diploma or Engineering Degree in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
