Positions: Inspectors - Welding & Instrumentation 
 
Location: Abu Dhabi
 
Duration: 4 months
 
We have outlined the positions, along with the roles and responsibilities and the educational qualifications required for each role
 
1) Welding Inspector
 
Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
• Verify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and qualifications of welders.
• Conduct visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• Identify and resolve welding defects and non-conformities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
• Prior shutdown experience required

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of industrial experience, including 6 years as a Welding Inspector (4 years in oil & gas or petrochemical industries).
• Qualification: Diploma or Engineering Degree in a relevant field.
• Certifications:
  • CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent.
  • NDT Level 2 certification in RT, UT, MT, or PT.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASME, API, and AWS.

• Inspect and verify installation, calibration, and testing of instrumentation systems.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Review and approve ITPs and method statements.
• Identify and resolve non-conformance issues, ensuring quality assurance.
• Working knowledge of hazardous location identification in accordance with NEC/NFPA 70 or equivalent standards.

• Experience: 10 years of industrial experience, with 6 years in instrumentation inspection (4 years in oil & gas or petrochemical industries).
• Qualification: Diploma or Engineering Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards like IEC, API, and ISA.
• Prior shutdown experience required
