Project scope: 
Support gas plant Inspection unit for enormous & ongoing plant activity after major expansion include various inspection task and services 


For this role we prefer candidates shall have operating plant inspection/ in-service inspection experience.


Basic Functions

The basic function of the Mechanical Inspector is to perform inspection services to verify the quality work during the course of the projects and operations


Role Scope:
The incumbent will monitor and/or perform quality activities. The incumbent will ensure that WORK is in compliance with all applicable requirements including without limitation SAUDI ARAMCO engineering requirements, standards, procedures, specifications, and Schedule Q of the project contract. The incumbent will provide training to others as and when required. Duties may require physical exertion, working outdoors, confined spaces, high elevations, remote work locations, and on or offshore.



Education Requirements:

• BS degree in Engineering plus a minimum of four (4) years of Mechanical inspection experience in the operation of Petrochemical or Hydrocarbon facilities
•            OR
• Two (2) years industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of Eight (8) years of Mechanical inspection experience in the operation of Petrochemical or Hydrocarbon facilities
• Be certified as an American Welding Society (AWS) CWI, CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector, or SAUDI ARAMCO approved equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 510,570,620 and 650, AWS 01.1, required for the execution of the WORK.

Principal duties:

• Perform "Hold", "Witness" and "Surveillance" inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements and project specifications.
• Inspect material and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at SAUDI ARAMCO facilities and/or construction sites.
• Monitor Contractor's Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
• Review and evaluate Contractor's Quality document submittals.
• Witness on-site and off-site material and installations tests for compliance with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.
• Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Report (EDRs) as needed.
