Position: Inspection Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi & Across UAE

Job Summary:
 
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Inspection Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and metallurgical inspections across various industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in vendor/source inspections, fabrication and material inspections, and in-service assessments of critical infrastructure such as piping, vessels, and tanks.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct source/vendor inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and international standards.
• Perform material inspections including mechanical, chemical, and corrosion testing in laboratory environments.
• Oversee Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
• Carry out fabrication inspections for structures, piping, pipelines, vessels, skids, and storage tanks.
• Perform detailed inspections and testing of valves and GRE/GRP piping systems.
• Execute painting and coating inspections, ensuring surface preparation and application meet required standards.
• Conduct pre-shipment inspections and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Perform in-service inspections of piping, vessels, and tanks, including during shutdowns or maintenance.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC policies at all times.

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or metallurgical engineering

• CSWIP 3.2 / 3.1 or AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• BGAS Grade 2 / NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector
• API 510 (Pressure Vessel)
• API 570 (Piping)
• API 653 (Storage Tank)
• ASNT Level 2 in NDT methods (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT)

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in inspection and quality control
• Experience working in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects preferred
• Experience in source/vendor inspections
• Experience in Material inspections, Mechanical/Chemical/Corrosion Lab tests, PQR/WQT tests
• Fabrication inspections of Structure/Piping/Pipeline/Vessel/Skid/Tanks
• Valve inspection/testing
• GRE/GRP piping, painting / Coating inspections, pre-shipment inspections
• In-service inspection of Piping/Vessel/Tanks including inspections during maintenance.
• Valid UAE Driving License
