Position: Shutdown QA QC (Welding) Inspector
 
Location: Oman
 
Duration: 1 month
 
Tentative mobilization date: End of Sep 2025
 
Work schedule: 12 hours/day – 6/7 days a week (Based on client requirements)
 
Position Overview:
 
The Shutdown QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of plant equipment and processes during shutdown periods. This role requires extensive experience in quality assurance and quality control, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct QA/QC inspections of plant equipment and processes during shutdown periods to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to plant equipment and processes.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) inspections on various plant components.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
• Monitor and verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
• Conduct pre-inspection meetings and provide guidance to project teams.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
• Participate in audits and assessments as required.

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC inspection within the oil and gas industry.
• Prior shutdown experience is mandatory.
• Valid CSWIP certification.
• Valid NDT certification.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
