Position: Coating Surveyor
 
 Location: Qatar
 
 Duration: Until Dec 2025, Extendable
 
 Position Overview: The Coating Surveyor will be responsible for performing coatings condition assessments and surveys in the oil and gas industry, with a preference for experience in the LNG sector. This role requires extensive knowledge of surface preparation and protective coatings, strong analytical skills, and the ability to prepare detailed reports.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform coatings condition assessments and surveys in offshore environments.
• Prepare detailed coating survey reports.
• Utilize computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for report preparation and communication.
• Ensure compliance with international standards related to surface preparation and protective coatings.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and findings.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

• Degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering.
• NACE Certified Offshore Corrosion/Coatings Assessment Training (OCAT) or Shipboard Corrosion/Coatings Assessment Training (S-CAT) Technician (Most qualified), or Certified NACE Coating Specialist, or NACE-Certified Coating Inspector-Level 3, or NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 or equivalent but qualified by field experience.

• Minimum of 8 - 10 years of proven knowledge and experience in performing coatings condition assessments.
• Minimum of 5 years of coating survey experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in the LNG sector.
• Good knowledge of international standards related to surface preparation and protective coatings.
• Proficiency in preparing coating survey reports and using computer applications like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
