Position: PdM (Predictive Maintenance) Technician

Position Overview:
 
The PdM Technician will be responsible for carrying out vibration monitoring, visual inspections, and lube oil sampling of rotating equipment. This role requires extensive knowledge of condition monitoring techniques, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine offline vibration monitoring tasks on rotating equipment using CSI2140 portable data collectors and other tools according to schedules.
• Ensure the quality of data collection during field monitoring.
• Regularly update data in AMS and report any system-related issues to the PdM Engineer.
• Conduct first-hand vibration analysis and assist the PdM Engineer in providing recommendations.
• Collect trends and plots from the System1 online monitoring platform as needed.
• Carry out visual monitoring (LLF) of rotating equipment as per schedule.
• Perform lube oil sampling as per the agreed schedule and prepare samples for analysis by a third-party lab.
• Update the monthly monitoring status report based on the data collection schedule for offline vibration and LLF monitoring.
• Report any deviations in the data collection schedule well in advance to the PdM Engineer.
• Conduct thermography and other NDT on rotating equipment as required.
• Monitor rotating equipment based on plant requirements, such as during machine startup after repair/overhaul or during commissioning of any machines.
• Report any major changes in equipment condition to the PdM Engineer for further action.
• Ensure that PdM recommendations are followed/carried out during corrective and preventive maintenance interventions.
• Maintain all instruments of the inspection department in good condition to carry out departmental activities.
• Inspect rotating equipment parts using NDT methods during repair/overhaul of equipment at the workshop/field.
• Ensure all instruments/tools have valid calibration and report any deviations to the PdM Engineer.
• Perform the job as per company-established procedures and meet the company objectives in terms of work quality.
• Strictly adhere to the permit-to-work procedure while performing any activities in the plant and workshop.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of condition monitoring of rotating equipment in petrochemical/refinery/oil & gas plants.
• 1-2 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CSI 2140/AMS machinery health manager or equivalent analyzer/software is mandatory.
• Basic working knowledge of System1 online monitoring.
• Intermediate knowledge of vibration analysis.
• Knowledge of lube oil sampling and sample collection.
• Vibration analysis certification CAT II is mandatory.
• Machinery Lubrication Analyst Level 1 is preferred.
