Position: Civil Structural Inspector
 
Location: Qatar

Position Overview:
 
The Civil Structural Inspector will be responsible for carrying out periodic inspections of civil structures, including Passive Fireproofing (PFP), in both onshore and offshore facilities. This role requires extensive knowledge of civil engineering practices, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out periodic inspections of civil structures, including PFP, in onshore and offshore facilities as per approved Work Scope Execution (WSE).
• Inspect pre-pour and post-pour activities such as reinforcement placing, formworks, concrete protection coating, concrete/PFP repair, grouting, etc., for all civil concrete structure works as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and approved procedures.
• Witness fresh concrete testing on-site, including concrete temperature, slump, and cube casting, as per international standards.
• Witness field testing such as Field Density Test (FDT) and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) for civil works and verify test reports as per international standards.
• Perform survey works, including fixing coordinates using Total Station and level checking using Auto levels for earthwork execution, road work, and all other civil works as per drawings.
• Review the validity of all calibration records for all inspection equipment.
• Verify steel structure erection and bolt tightening, ensuring conformity with drawings and specifications.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and report to the immediate supervisor.
• Carry out regular surveillance inspections for QC activities on-site monitoring.

• Civil Engineering degree or Diploma holder.
• Minimum of 5 years of current work experience in civil structural inspection.
• Shutdown experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices and international standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
