Job Summary:
The Cathodic Protection Engineer / Data Acquisition and Analysis will be responsible for the on-board oversight and verification of cathodic protection (CP) assessments and the analysis of CP data during the subsea assessment campaign. This role ensures accurate CP data acquisition, verifies equipment functionality, and provides expert analysis of CP data to assess the integrity of subsea pipelines and structures.
Responsibilities:
- Cathodic Protection (CP) Monitoring:
- Verify the proper functioning and calibration of CP measurement equipment.
- Verify the calibration of the CP systems.
- Oversee CP data acquisition and ensure accurate measurements.
- Verify the CP data acquisition during ROV operations.
- Act as the primary on-board point of contact for CP-related matters between TÜV Rheinland and the contractor.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the TÜV Rheinland Project Manager regarding CP assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of all CP activities and observations.
- CP Data Analysis:
- Analyze CP data to assess the effectiveness of the CP system and identify potential corrosion issues.
- Interpret CP data to evaluate the integrity of subsea pipelines and structures.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on CP data analysis.
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., corrosion, electrical, materials) or a related field.
- Specialized expertise in cathodic protection systems and corrosion control.
- Proficient in CP data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation.
- Experience with CP measurement equipment and techniques.
- Strong understanding of subsea infrastructure integrity.
