Position - AutoCAD Draftsman (Mechanical/Structural), Plant & Pipeline Inspector and Civil Technician

Location - Qatar

AutoCAD Draftsman (Mechanical/Structural)

Primary Purpose of the Job:
Translate design briefs and conceptual designs in Mechanical/Structural Engineering into detailed engineering drawings, schematics, material take-off, and bills of quantity. Responsible for uploading documents into ECM EIS.
Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of secondary (12 years) education, followed by at least two years of full-time training in draftsmanship or mechanical engineering discipline.
• Fluent in English.
• Minimum 10+ years of design experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D / AutoPlant program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Report to Senior Designer and receive work instructions.
• Design calculations, sketches, and drawings for Mechanical/Piping projects.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with approved standards.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for Mechanical Equipment, Columns, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, and Structural components.
• Prepare Plot plans, PFDs, P&IDs, Piping plans, Isometrics, Bills of Material, and Orthographic & Perspective drawings.
• Conduct field surveys, measurements, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain and update technical document management systems (ECM EIS).
• Search vendor catalogs and equipment specifications for design data.
• Assist in tender documentation, material requisitions, and maintenance planning.

Plant Inspector & Pipeline Inspector
 
Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or equivalent engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience (for diploma holders) and 8 years of experience (for bachelor's degree holders) in quality control, integrity, in-service inspection, and testing in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, International Welding Engineer (IWE), or equivalent certification (Minimum 2 years of post-certification experience preferred).
• Experience in QA/QC, Inspection & Testing in fabrication, manufacturing, and construction.
• API 510, API 570, API 653 certifications (Minimum 2 years of post-certification experience preferred).
• NDT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT, PT with knowledge of advanced NDT techniques.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection of pipelines, piping, relief valves, plant, and equipment.
• Develop isometric sketches highlighting inspection points, scaffolding, and insulation removal requirements.
• Perform visual surveys on static equipment, pipelines, tanks, and piping systems to assess their condition.
• Prepare individual line condition reports.
• Identify and report areas of concern to Inspectors.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections using appropriate visual aids.
• Provide accurate technical reports.
• Collaborate with NDT Technicians for result review and interpretation.
• Update and submit reports in the APMS system for approval.
• Must be able to pass the Permit to Work System & Consolidated Permit to Work System

Civil Technician(Building Services and Civil Maintenance

Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum ten 5 years' experience civil and structural maintenance work and at least Three (3) years' experience working in oil & gas industry
• Experience in the Middle East is an advantage
• Fully conversant with Civil maintenance works (Plant buildings, Road maintenance, Sand Clearance and pipe support replacement)
• Able to read Civil & Structural design drawings.
• Familiar with MS office (MS Excel and Word)

Duties and Responsibilities

Collect Field data, take measurements, carry out worksite survey, prepare sketches and estimate the quantities required for the job.

Carry out site survey, supervision and inspection of Civil maintenance activities
and/or project related works within Dukhan Fields but not limited to the following:

• Demolition and dismantling works.
• Concrete and structural repairs;
• Finishing works;
• Concrete works;Block works;
• Structural steel and FRP fabrication works;
• Roofing works;
• Carpentry and joinery works;
• Ironmongery and miscellaneous fixtures;
• Water supply, plumbing and drainage;
• Sanitary fixtures and accessories;
• Fencing works;
• Excavation works for flowlines;
• Painting works;
• Cleaning of roads,
• Road pavement works,
• Road markings,
• Crash barriers,
• Road kerbs,
• Interlocking bricks
• Traffic sign boards,
• Drainage works
• Miscellaneous structural steel works,
• Miscellaneous reinforced concrete works.
• Replacement of damaged pipeline supports.
• Re-alignment of existing pipeline supports.
• Concrete repairs to existing pipeline supports.
• Concrete repairs to walls of existing wellhead cellars.
• Removal of drift sand from around pipelines.
• Removal of drift sand within wellhead cellars.
• Removal of drift sand within wellhead, manifold and valve
• station compounds.
• Removal of drift sand outside wellhead, manifold and valve
• station fences.
• Stone Pitching around pipe supports
• Removal of vegetation
