Position: E & I Expeditor
Location: UAE
Qualification and Experience required:
Diploma / Degree holder in E & I discipline or related field
Minimum 7 - 10 years of work experience in relevant field
Discipline: E&I and Piping; with Mechanical background is an advantage
Experience in Oil and Gas field is required
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the expediting activities with Vendors through in-house desk expeditors, VDE’s (Vendor
Document Expeditors), field expeditors & expediting agencies.
Proactively analyze vendor schedule with Projects team to ensure a realistic schedule is issued, to mitigate any
delays in the delivery by alternative resources.
Identify with vendor detail list of sub vendors at early stage of order.
Efficient and effective expediting to ensure timely delivery of high-quality equipment packages, materials,
associated documentation within schedule within the parameters of, and in compliance with the Company’s
Operating and Quality Procedures.
To be achieved by (but not limited to) the following activities:
1. Discuss with Expediting Supervisor (ES) / PPM and issue the Project Expediting Plan based on the Project
Procurement Plan.
2. Issuing Project expediting reports timely to Projects.
3. Reviewing reports issued by field expeditors and VDE’s.
4. Attending project meetings and discuss the required action plan on open issues with the ES/PPM.
5. Attending project procurement review meetings with Clients when required.
6. Attending meetings at major vendor premises.
7. Monitor the documentation process through VDE team and conduct weekly meetings with the team to
ensure that internal and external transmittals are up to date.
8. Ensure that the package documentation is maintained and updated in the CDC file sharing system at pre
and post manufacturing/ Delivery stage.
9. Ensuring that Vendor is ready prior to any scheduling of FAT.
10. Monitoring Vendors (and Sub Vendors as required) performance to ensure equipment, materials, and
documentation is of the required quality and highlight issues that may arise in priorities, workload,
competence, schedule, ETAs, potential use of sub vendors.
11. Attend the Punch list close out meetings with the Project Manager and Production team to ensure timely
closure of expediting related issues.
12. Assist the Expediting team when required to establish a good contact with the vendor and develop the
expediting strategy.
13. Assist the Expediting Supervisor to prepare an Expediting plan for key packages.
14. Should be ready to play the ES role and take responsibility of overall Projects Expediting for smooth
delivery and MIN issuance.
15. Should be dynamic and a team player to resolve major issues that may have raise due to delay in delivery.
