Position: Civil, Coating and Welding Inspectors

Qualification and Experience required: We have outlined the specific qualifications and experience required for the positions below:
 
Civil Inspector

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of civil engineering works and structures to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and regulations.
• Supervise field tests such as soil compaction, concrete slump, and moisture-density relationship tests.
• Verify that construction conform to design specifications and applicable codes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records and reports.
• Collaborate with other inspectors, engineers, and construction personnel to ensure project quality and safety.
• Identify non-conformance and recommend corrective actions.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience, including 6 years in civil inspection, preferably within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• A Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Inspect surface preparation and coating application on pipelines, storage tanks, and structural steel to ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Review and interpret coating system specifications and manufacturers' data sheets.
• Perform inspections of 3 Layer Polyethylene (3 LPE) coated components.
• Monitor environmental conditions before, during, and after coating applications.
• Conduct adhesion testing, dry film thickness measurements, and holiday detection.
• Document inspection procedures and results and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience with at least 6 years specializing in coating inspection, including 4 years in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Degree or Diploma in a relevant field, such as Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Specific experience with 3 LPE coating processes.
• Familiarity with recognized industry standards such as NACE, SSPC, or equivalent.

• Oversee the welding process on pipelines/process piping to ensure procedures and materials comply with specifications.
• Conduct visual inspections and interpret non-destructive testing (NDT) results.
• Liaise with welding engineers to determine appropriate welding methods and sequences.
• Review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS).
• Compile inspection reports and maintain records of welding inspection activities.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience, including 6 years in welding inspection, with a strong background in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a closely related field.
• Certifications from recognized professional bodies such as AWS-CWI, CSWIP is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
