Role: Interface Coordinator - Project Quality
Reports to: Executive Director, Quality & Excellence

Role Purpose:
Interface Coordinator - Project Quality will support and collaborate with teams of Quality Professionals responsible for supporting the Quality & Excellence Division Operations. Facilitate regular communication between consultants and to ensure interface execution and close out. Work with Q&E Executive Director and Heads to highlight and help resolve any associated contractual issues/potential change orders arising from interface issues.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field required
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in technical and industrial environment preferably with a large Construction organization
- Good understanding of Project Technical requirements
- Significant construction experience
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated with excellent work organization skills
- Previous experience in some or all of the following project areas: project management, engineering management, business/project controls
- Previous experience in interface management
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Establish a system for Quality & Excellence (Q&E) Division and Consultants to coordinate their activities as required to effectively manage and organize physical interfaces per principles and requirements of Q&E Division
- Ensure consistent and effective implementation of the Interface Management Plan within Quality & Excellence (Q&E) Division and all stakeholders
- Coordinate with Consultants to ensure the development of their Interface Management procedures and resolution of all Project interfaces
- Review and endorse Consultants' plans/procedures
- Ensure that consultants promptly develop interface agreements per the Q&E Division procedures & further identify interfaces as required for the projects
- To organize and regularly attend Consultant’s interface coordination meetings and facilitate interaction, where applicable, across all Q&E Division
- Facilitate regular communication between consultants to ensure interface execution and close out
- Ensure Consultants produce and regularly maintain comprehensive Interface Data Registers of all identified interfaces and provide regular reporting metrics
- Technically assess criticality of interfaces and issues associated with late or missing information
- Identify interface performance issues and work with Q&E Division Heads and team members to facilitate resolution
- Work with consultants to highlight and help resolve any associated contractual issues/potential change orders arising from interface issues
- Keep the Q&E Executive Director and Heads informed of interface matters that could potentially jeopardize the Q&E Division Operations
- Maintain the Central Interface Registers that summarizes critical Interface Agreements and provide reports
- Keeping up to date professionally about operational and leadership practices
- Managing the work performance of self and direct reports
- Developing alignment between team capability and project’s objectives
