Job Location: Jeddah Project Type: Construction /MEP/ Infrastructure
Scope The Inspector will monitor and/or perform quality activities at all stages of projects. The incumbent will ensure contractor's work is in compliance using good knowledge of COMPANY engineering requirements, standards, procedures, specifications, and Schedule “Q” of the project contract. The Inspector will provide training to others as and when required. Duties may require physical exertion, working outdoors, confined spaces, high elevations, and remote work locations (on and offshore)
Qualification and Requirements
Inspectors employed by the CONTRACTOR to perform services
shall have ten (10) years of relevant industrial experience, including six (6) years’ experience in a given inspection specialty.
Good to have experience in MEP / Infrastructure projects.
Shall have at least a technical diploma.
Shall be fully conversant with applicable industry Standards and Specifications.
Shall perform a variety of complex inspection functions with minimal supervision.
. For Electrical Inspectors and Instrumentation Inspectors
Electrical and Instrument inspector shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, or equivalent standards.
He shall also have a working knowledge of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries. He must be NFPA 70 Certified or equivalent.
He shall satisfy the requirements of a fully qualified Instrument Technician/ Engineer meeting the requirements laid out by the Instrument Society of America or the Institute of Measurement Control
Principal Duties
Perform “Hold” “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with COMPANY requirements and project specifications.
Inspect material and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with COMPANY requirements for proper handling, storage, and protection at COMPANY facilities and/or construction sites.
Monitor Contractor’s Quality Systems, records, and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
Review and evaluate Contractor’s Quality document submittals
Witness onsite and offsite material and installations tests for compliance with COMPANY standards.
Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non- complying
construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Equipment Deficiency Investigation as needed.
General Requirements
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international standards.
Demonstrated full working knowledge of quality system standards and methods.
Fluent command of the English language (spoken and written).
Good health and in excellent physical condition.
Good working knowledge of standard PC workstation usage and basic Microsoft Office software suite.
Has Quality Management awareness.
Demonstrated working knowledge of applicable industry standards.
