Why NHCS? 
Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS) is a tuition-free open enrollment charter school for grades K1-12 in Dorchester that is a public alternative to traditional district schools. We serve over 800 students across two campuses predominantly from the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan.  We believe in the social emotional well-being of our students and know that a well-coached and supported educator is instrumental in helping our scholars both academically and in their SEL growth. We do not give up on kids. Our expectation is that all of our students thrive at NHCS, graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education on the path to life success. Our educators are partners with our scholars and their families as they embark on this path.
 
 
What is the Operations Associate role?
The Operations Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily school operations. As a member of the Operations Team, this position supports the implementation of operational plans, manages day-to-day logistics, coordinates schedules, and provides flexible support wherever needed. The Operations Associate is a solutions-oriented team member who helps keep school operations running efficiently, allowing students and staff to focus on teaching and learning.

This position is at our Centre St. campus and hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. This position is a 10-month position.  The salary ranges from $49,032 to $60,314, with final placement determined by experience and qualifications.
 
Is this you? 

• You hold an Associate's degree or are currently pursuing one; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• You will provide flexible support to the Operations team as needed.
• You will cover assigned duties (e.g., hallway, dining hall, recess) to support daily school operations.
• You have at least one year experience working with children in a child care, educational or camp setting; tutoring & coaching experience is acceptable 
• You thrive in a collaborative community where accountability, flexibility, humor, effort, responsibility, respect, and hope are valued.
• Ability to model and demonstrate behaviors that foster a caring, respectful, and responsible community
• You are able to start August 24, 2026
