Why NHCS? 
Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS) is a tuition-free open enrollment charter school for grades K1-12 in Dorchester that is a public alternative to traditional district schools. We serve over 800 students across two campuses predominantly from the neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan.  We believe in the social emotional well-being of our students and know that a well-coached and supported educator is instrumental in helping our scholars both academically and in their SEL growth. We do not give up on kids. Our expectation is that all of our students thrive at NHCS, graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education on the path to life success. Our educators are partners with our scholars and their families as they embark on this path.
 
 
What is the Operations Associate role?
The Operations Associate is an integral member of the NHCS community, responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of daily activities. This role involves coordinating and managing a variety of operational tasks to enhance student engagement and maintain a safe and organized environment. Key areas of responsibility include supporting transportation logistics and recess supervision.

This is 10-month position at our Queen St. campus and hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. The salary range for this position is $22-28/hour, including full benefits.

Is this you? 

• You have one year experience working with children in a child care, educational or camp setting; tutoring & coaching experience is acceptable 
• Experience planning and implementing group activities
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Ability to model and demonstrate behaviors that foster a caring, respectful, and responsible community
• You are able to start August 2025
