About the role
The Ministry for Pacific Peoples (MPP) is the Crown’s principal advisor on policies and interventions aimed at improving outcomes for Pacific peoples in New Zealand.
Recently the Ministry has experienced significant growth, and last year established a Service Delivery business unit, responsible for the delivery of key Ministry operational initiatives such as Tupu Aotearoa, Toloa Programme and Community Funding.
Within the Service Delivery unit, our Chief Advisor, provides professional leadership to the Service Delivery Team, including oversight of the design, delivery, and reporting of service delivery initiatives.
What you’ll do
As part of your role, you will be supporting the Deputy Secretary, Service Delivery to address complex strategic or operational problems, by researching, analysing information, and advising on options, risks and opportunities. You’ll also be maintaining an oversight of the work of all teams in the Ministry responsible for delivering initiatives, ensuring a high level of consistency and quality across the Ministry.
We are looking for skills, and experience in the following areas

- Experience in planning or delivering large scale projects or programmes for Pacific communities
