Join us in delivering premium quality and strong on-farm partnerships.
At ofi, our milk supply programme is built on strong relationships, practical support, and a commitment to delivering high-quality ingredients to our customers. We’re looking for a Milk Quality Officer who brings a proactive, partnership mindset and a strong eye for detail to support farmers in meeting premium milk standards.
This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on milk quality performance, supplier engagement, and continuous improvement. You’ll work as part of our on-farm team, supporting farmers with testing outcomes, quality standards, and practical steps to maintain performance. You’ll also lead the resolution of quality events, maintain key supplier-facing resources, and ensure our operations stay aligned with regulatory expectations, including NZCP1 and our internal RMP.
Key areas of focus will include:
• Supporting farmers to achieve high milk quality outcomes through proactive engagement and clear advice
• Managing milk testing and acceptance programmes, including MTNZ and tanker assessments
• Leading the response to milk quality events and guiding suppliers through agreed improvement plans
• Maintaining the Dairy Supplier Handbook and on-farm support materials
• Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks, including NZCP1
• Working alongside Milk Supply Managers, transport operators, and internal quality teams
• Contributing to driver training, audit programmes, and broader risk identification efforts
You’ll bring experience in milk quality or dairy operations, a working knowledge of milk testing and grading, and a passion for on-farm engagement. You’re solutions-focused, approachable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
What you’ll need to succeed:
• Background in dairy quality, food science, or agriculture
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A practical mindset and confidence working on-farm
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NZCP1 and RMP
• A current driver’s licence and comfort working across varied farm and transport environments
This is a great opportunity to work closely with progressive farmers and a dedicated team to deliver results that matter—from milk quality to long-term supply partnerships.
Apply now to be part of a business that’s growing, values its farmers, and is committed to high standards and high trust.
