We're looking for Irrigation Leading Hands to support the sustainable growth and production at various Orchards in the Wemen region, VIC.

You'll work closely with the Irrigation Controller and have the responsibility for day-to-day irrigation operations. You'll also have the autonomy to implement irrigation programmes suited to the farm. This hands-on role involves monitoring soil moisture and maintaining the farm’s irrigation equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in training Orchard Technicians on irrigation and maintenance programme requirements
• Liaise with contractors to ensure timelines and scoped works are met
• Assist in monitoring and managing the efficient and timely delivery of water and fertiliser to the orchards
• Maintain irrigation equipment and ensure timely servicing and repairs of the irrigation system
• Identify and report wet areas and undertake corrective measures

• Previous experience working on a farm with knowledge of drip irrigation systems, system design and function, will be highly regarded
