The purpose of this role is to develop and enforce GMP and provide documentation in order to ensure the continual quality improvement and consistency of the quality control process.
Reporting to the Manager – Kernel Processing your responsibilities will include:
Testing physically and chemically on raw and packaging materials and manufacturing products/processes and reporting any failures or issues
Completing safety risk evaluations to improve control management and develop global quality strategy, regulation and standards to achieve sustainable development
Monitor and evaluate the crucial control points to drive a better sustainable improvement
Conduct trend analysis to identify any improvement opportunities and threats that may impact company development
Monitor and control all quality activities to prevent any incident and damage in order to align with Environment, Occupational Health and Safety and Food safety standards
Provide advice on the procedures and policies related to national quality legislation
Provide training and education to food safety team members and develop training programs and determine employees need to receive training
Drive continuous improvement
Participate in food safety management including recalls and associated communications
Lead and manage the quality team and the quality process including communicating and meet up with external stakeholders, including FSSC consultants and suppliers
To be successful you must five years experience as a quality manager in a production processing environment. You must be proficient in computer technology and systems and strong leadership and management skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to influence others, great team player with strong interpersonal skills. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering and/ or an advanced degree in Quality Management systems is preferred.
