Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be accountable for operating and maintaining colour sorting machines to ensure effective removal of defects from Almond product. This role is located at our Carwarp Processing Plant in VIC, the salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.

You will be responsbile for:

• Operating and maintaining colour sorting machines and ensuring the machines are calibrated correctly for accurate sorting
• Troubleshooting any issues with the machines with the help of OEM and maintenance team.
• Regularly cleaning and servicing the machines to ensure optimal performance
• Complete sampling reports to ensure machines are operating within set parameters to meet customer requirements
• Daily checks of the machines along with pre-start checks as well as executing preventative Maintenance activities as assigned
• Maintenance and safety record keeping
• Participate in all improvement projects to reduce waste and improve efficiencies
• Plant security after hours plus other daily plant activities as requested

Almond hull and shelling experience would be ideal, as will previous experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry. Experience in operating and maintaining equipment is desired. Strong communication, mechanical and teamwork skills as well as basic computer skills
