About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and ensure the efficient, safe and compliant management of inventory, logistics and warehousing activities. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse functions, leading a high-performing team and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong warehouse management experience in a manufacturing, production, or defence-related environment.
As a Warehouse Manager, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop the warehouse team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through stock control, cycle counts, audits and maintenance of ERP system records.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including receiving inspections, packaging, handling, storage, transportation and shipping documentation.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring timely availability of materials and coordinating production build kits.
- Maintain warehouse facilities, consumables, and stock locations to ensure a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS requirements, quality standards and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements, maintain warehouse procedures and documentation and provide regular inventory and performance reporting.
What you'll Bring:
Essential - Certificate IV or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline.
- Extensive warehouse management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership, inventory management and warehouse operations experience.
Desirable - Forklift Licence
- Experience with ERP systems
- Defence logistics experience and knowledge of DEF-AUST 1000C requirements.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and WHS practices.
Mandatory Requirements: - Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
