We are currently seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering our growth strategy. 

This position will lead the identification, development, and capture of new business opportunities. 
 
About the role:
As the Business Development Manager, you will:

• Lead strategic business development and growth planning aligned with organisation objectives. 
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities that strengthen KONGSBERS's capabilities, market access, and competitive positioning. 
• Build and maintainstrong relationships with with customers, stakeholders and industry partners. 
• Support major bis activities, including developing high-quality proposals and capture strategies. 
• Develop and present regular reports on business development activities, including progress toward strategic goals, market developments, and key client relationships.

What you'll Bring:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant technology field, business area, or related discipline. 
• Minimum 5 years experience in business development, strategic planning, and capture management within the defence industry with a proven record of driving organisational growth.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing and managing strategic relationships with defence customers (in the Maritime, Land, Air and Space Domains), industry partners, and internal stakeholders including Defence’s emerging Defence Acquisition Agency (DAA).
• Experience analysing market data and conducting competitive analysis, applying insights to shape strategic initiatives.
• Skilled in producing persuasive written and oral communications, including proposals, presentations, and strategic briefings.

 Mandatory Requirements:  

• Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR). 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
