We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-value defence programs.
This role is responsible for end-to-end program governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery assurance of nominated programs and contracts within Kongsberg Defence Australia portfolio.
About the role: As a Program Manager, you will:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, objectives, deliverables, and establish timelines to ensure project alignment with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams by assigning tasks, managing resources, and fostering collaboration to drive project success.
- Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial performance aligns with project constraints.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing challenges to minimise project disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and manage expectations to maintain alignment and support.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements by implementing robust review and testing processes.
- Track project progress using KPIs, identifying deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions to stay on track.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, preparing progress reports, and conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned
- Undertake travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfill the requirements of this role
What you'll Bring: - Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering or a related discipline.
- Project Lifecycle Management within the defence industry (or similar field).
- Proven experience managing projects through all phases, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring successful delivery.
- Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while effectively resolving issues to minimise impact on project outcomes.
- Strong track record of engaging with diverse stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and senior leadership, to align expectations and ensure satisfaction.
Mandatory Requirements: - Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
